Can you request translator on the day of interview

I have scheduled appt for my in laws at Chennai consulate in English. Is it possible to request Tamil translator on the day of the interview. At Mumbai consulate it is possible to do so ( i.e can request Marathi translator on the day of interview) as I my parents did that before. I am not sure about Chennai consulate because it shows option of choosing the language while making the appt. There were no dates available for Tamil.

No, it is not possible for Chennai consulate. You have to make option at the time of making an appointment
