Thanks to a wonderful bunch of people helping prospective applicants sharing your knowledge and experience. My parents (who have visited US twice before) got their 10yr multiple entry visa in the Chennai consulate on Oct 4th
Following questions were asked (addressed to my dad):
1. How long has your son been in the USA? (10 yrs)
2. Do you have any property in India? (yes)
3. How long did you stay there the previous time and did you return back on time? (6 months)
4. Assuming I give you a visa, will you come back on time this time as well? (yes)
With a face full of smiles, the visa officer (old lady) said that she was giving them a 10yr multiple entry visa, much to my parents' satisfaction
None of the docs (sponsor/visitor) were even opened!!! We took so much care in arranging the documents in folders etc. Best wishes to all prospective applicants
