  • Self sponsoring visitor visa ??

    Hi,

My situation is like this :

My in-laws got an appointment on 3rd Nov and my parents on 1st Nov.My husband is already sponsoring my in-laws. So, is it safe to sponsor my parents too ?? Or is it better if my parents self sponsor themselves??

And can u also give me the list of documents needed if they self sponsor ?? In that case what documents should we send from here ??

    Thanks.

If they have good income and funds to show, they should go for self-financing the trip. It'll go in their favour. Many times, the officer decides the funding part only on the basis of the question, "What do you do and what is your income?", not looking at any account statements because money can always be borrowed. So let them be ready to explain how they will afford the trip.

You need to send an invitation letter, preferably , addressed to the visa officer , US embassy/cons late describing your visa status,
and that you are inviting your parents for-----period. ANd you request that
    a visitor visa be granted.
Also send a copy of your passport with the visa and a birth certificate if you have one ( with the names of your parents on it , to establish the relationship with your parents).
