I-134 Question

Dear friends,

This forum provides lot of information and i have been reading for the past couple of weeks.

Here is my situation:

Long time before, i came to USA under B1 category, and i have brought my family for pleasure purpose. My Old company did every thing and my family also got 6 months visa based on my I94 after i arrived. Due to my bad record-keeping habits, I dont remember whether i filled any thing like I-134 form.

The issue is this, Now i am in H1B and family is in H4; I am planning to bring my parents in tourist visa this year. I booked them appointment also, while filling all the necessary document i found in I-134 question 9 and 10. Previously submitted affidavit; and date submitted; I have not filled any I-134form at that time; I have sponsered my dependent with the help of my company. Since i am not working with them it is very difficult to get all those information

Please advice what i have to mention for both the questions?

What are the implications of not specifying previously (in case if i have submitted) I -134?

Dear friends,

Thanks for your reply RK; I dont see any where if it is 3 years old affidavit you can put none or na.

I checked the fourm for previously submited affidavit question. I couldn't find the answer what i am looking for?

As i mentioned earlier, I am not sure whether i have submitted affidavit four years back. Can you please tell me what to fill in for the question 9?

Did you sponsor for your parents or in-laws tourist visa earlier? If so, you must have filled the I-134 and hence you must mention that you have previously submitted the affidavit for so and so person in so and so year.

If you were referring to your wife and children's support documents from 4 yrs ago, don't bother to include them in I-134 due to two reasons: 1) it was several yrs ago 2) it was your own wife and children that you co-sponsored along with your employer and that you have never sponsored for any trip for parents/relatives/friends which is of importance for the visa officer if at all.

I don't think the VO will be able to figure out or find out about previous affidavits. My sincere suggestion is to write NA or NONE if it is just your wife and children that you had sponsored ever.

Thanks Jaya, I sponsored for my wife and kid. It really make sense, I will mentioned it as NA or NONE.
