Question regarding the dd's please help

Hi All,

I want to know if we can cancel the DD's that we have taken to apply for an appointment for the consulate.

I donot know how it works,but when my parents went to cancel the dd's and get a new one so that we can book an appointment early, the bank guys told that they cannot do it is it true?.

Please help in this situation. I would really appreciate your response on this.

Did they save the counter foil when the got the DDs?

If you go back with DDs and counter foil, they are supposed to take the DD back.
