This is my third visit to U.S. On my last 2 visits I have been in U.S. for a period of 7 months on the first visit and 3 months on my second visit.
I have applied for my mother's visiting visa, and the interview is scheduled for February.
I am apprehensive about the following.
- I am planning to send a invitation letter to my mother. However I will be in India during her interview. I am on a H1 that will expire in 2009. I am planning to come back to U.S. in March 2007. Will it be a problem that I am not in U.S at the time of my mother's interview?
- My bank statements would reflect the details for only 3 months. Will this be an issue? Can this problem be circumvented if I mention in my invitation letter that my mother will be bearing the cost of the visit?
Please let me know. I would be thankful if anybody can throw some light on these problem areas.
