hello,

my husband and i moved to Michigan last december...We had a valid I-94 till june 5 ,2006 and we applied for an extension and got that extended till 2008 july.
As our Visa is now expired we got a date for the Visa appt in India next march .

I want to get my mother here. when we go to India for the Interview..for that can we apply as tthe sponsors,now itself and get the Visa INterview for my mom during the period before we got to India or have to wait till we get our new Visa and after that only have to apply????

Is there any possiblity that some one related to her or us can apply for her sponsorship to visit US???
PLease help me with this...

Even though your visa go expired, still you can sponsor your parents as long as you have valid petition and I-94.

My wife was adopted by her uncle and aunt in US

Can i call my mother-in-law (wife's biological mother) from India on a visitor's visa.
If we prepare all documents (invitation letter, I-134 etc) as per the norms.

How will the visa officer react when he/she comes to know that this lady is her biological mother and not the adoptive mother.

Can someone suggest something on this?
