hi,

I don't have sufficient money in the bank and my in-laws have got the appointment on Dec 20th.

I am planning to bring them here in the month of April 2007 by which I will have some money in the bank.

Can they produce documents showing 5 or lakhs in Indian banks and say they are self-sponsoring the trip?

Yes, they can.

But make sure that the money is not deposited overnight (borrowed or something). They must really have the money.
