Passport sent for over 4 weeks - no reply

Hi

My in-laws had appeared for personal interview 3 months ago. They were given a form and asked to provide more information. About a month back they were asked to send their Passports and DD.

No response from them till now. How long does it take to get the passport back. If we have to follow-up what is the best way.

which consulate is it at Nitinganesh ? Either way, calling them worked better for me. So, try calling htem and also email them, theri email id should be availble on the consulate's web site.

They appeared at Chennai consulate. They had emailed once and got a reply - "Will hear from us shortly"
