Prepone Visa Dates

Hi all...

I took the Visitor visa appointment for my parents in January and I am looking for preponing it to sometime in december.

I found that I don't have to cancel the appointment for preponing

I tried to reschedule it and it would say "Dates not available".

But I found on VFS web site that says that I need to cancel my appoinment before I prepone


My questions are:

1) Did any one reschedule(prepone) their/their parents appointment? If so, do we have to cancel the existing appointment before we reschedule?

2) Is there any alternative way to prepone if not by cancelling and rescheduling.

I am just worried that if I cancel the existing one and can't get a new one, It will only result in mental tension and is just a waste of time.

Your inputs are highly appreciated. Plz suggest the needful...

Hi,
i just preponed my mom's appointment from dec to nov.But first i had to cancel existing appointment and then i filled up the forms real fast and took nov appointment.
I hope this helps.I also wanted to prepone without cancelling,but the system was not allowing me to do so.
