Sponsoring a Friend

HI, If anyone could help me regarding
sponsorship of a friend from india to here in USA..
is this alot more difficult then if he was a relative and who would i contact to even get this started ,indian embassy sent me to US Govt ,which doesnt answer emails....Also could he enter USA on a tourist visa without sponsorship or is that risky these days as they can turn down at port,he only plans on staying here for 2-6 months ,6 months at the
longest ..If anyone could provide insight would be appreciated....Thank you

Anyone can sponsor anyone. However, it is generally harder to sponsor somone who is not a close relative.

If he is able to, he can sponsor himself too.
