Hello. I was wondering what kind of documentation someone needs to show me to prove that they are, indeed, legally staying in the US? My roommate only has a I-797C, Notice of Action form which is dated 11-25-05. Being that I know absolutely NOTHING about immigration and forms, I have no idea what this form is for. However, as far as I know, she has no type of visa to show me. I really don't want to be involved with harboring someone.
What documentation should she have in her hands if she is legal? I just don't feel that this I-797C form is a legal document stating that she is legal. It basically just says that she is requesting Class B2. Can anyone help?
