Interview Documents for Self Sponsored...Help request

Hello,

My wife and I have a visa interview at Chennai coming up soon. We are retired and we have sponsored ourselves. The purpose is to visit our daughter and family in US and to travel around there and see places. We will appreciate a little help with the following questions.

1. Do we need a letter from them inviting us to visit them in US?

2. What property/Bank docs do we need to take?

3. What other docs are importantant to take?

4. Any other helpful advice
