  • How far before can we apply for Visitors visa.

    Hi all,

Hope somebody can helpe with my question.

My parents were rejected once in may for a visitors visa, since we dint send them adequate documents. So in May itself I took another appointment for them, which then gave me date for November end. Now actually they are planning to visit USA in Apr 07, since my father's business allows him to take a vacation at that time only.

SO my questions is, If they go now in this month and say that they will be visiting USA only in Apr, will that be of any trouble for getting a visa.
If they decide to give my parents a visa now, and only decide to give it for 6 months only, in apr, thier visa would have been wasted for 5 months already, does this mean they can only stay here for only one month.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

They will issue a 10-year multiple entry visa. The duration of stay will be provided for 6 months the day they land in the US.
Apply for the visa now. If it gets rejected then again you have some time to apply for it again.

Thank you Jonty. Appreciate your reply.

I have another question, my parents, especially my dad, he does speek english, but the last time when he went for the intervew, i guess he had trouble understanding the question the officer was asking as the accent is different, so he hesitated for couple of questions. Coming to my mom, she doesnt speek in english that much.

But when i took appointment in May, i couldnt get a date for our mother-tongue. So i had to take it for english. Now when they go for this interview now, and ask for a translator at the time of interview, will they be provided with a translator or will they be asked to schedule for another appointment.

      Thanks a lot in advance.
