Hello
My brother-in-law's father passed away recently and he wants his mother to come to the US on visitor visa. He is a permenant resident of US and is in the process of becoming a citizen. He had his fingerprints done and is now waiting for the interview. His wife (my sister) is a US citizen. What is their best shot to get his mom here to the US on visitor visa?
Should they just explain their situation and say that he will be filing for a immigration visa for his mom after he becomes a US citizen anyway, so just grant his mom a visitor visa until then??? Or what else???
Should he sponser the visa himself or should he sponsor it togather with my sister (US citizen)???
Also, one of the documents from the sponsor, if they are a US citizen is that they need an original statement from a U.S. consular officer verifying that you are a U.S. citizen with a valid passpor, How and where do I get this???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
