Thank ypou for the info. Last week I took DD for 2400 (for myself + wife ), yesterday took again for Rs.2300 !!

Ok, will cancell 4 DDs now, or wait ? Our interview date is Nov 14th

Is this the correct information? Because last week I called VFS to get information about the latest visa issuance fees. They told me Rs. 2300/-.

Can you please confirm me from where did you get the info? My mother has interview this month end.

Hi

My father went for B-2 on Nov 8th in Chennai Consulate and the officer has told that he has granted 10 Years Multiple Entry Visa but said that there is no need to pay the Issuance Fee.

So my father did not pay the fees. He is going for 3rd time, got rejected the previous 2 times. So we are worried whether not paying the issuance fee is correct? His passport was not returned, so shd we take that he has got the Visa?

Can anybody confirm this? There is no update in any of the Consulate / VFS websites. Just waiting for the passport...

Please update if anybody has any info!

My Dad went for VISA interview yesterday (NOV 8th) and got the VISA approved. They told him from today, we do not have to pay the VISA fee.
I was worried like you. I called the Chennai US Embassy and got it confirmed.
