Visitor's visa for a relative

Hello,

Need some help - my uncle and aunt want to surprise visit their son who is graduating next month. I wanted to know is it possible for me to send papers (affidavit of support) and will the consulate have any objections to this? (Uncle is my mother's brother). They are both currently employed in India and their only son is in the US.

If this is not possible, what's the best option? Please advice.
