Govt Employee - Leave sanctioned for 1 month

Hi
My mom is working in a bank and she has the leave sanctioned letter for 1 month. She said their bank gives leave on a month to month basis and that she can extend her leave every 1 month after she comes to US.
I mentioned that she is going to stay here for 6 months.

Couple of questions:

1) What answer should she give if the Visa Officer asks her that how can she stay here in US for 6 months if the leave is sanctioned for only 1 month?
If she says the answer that she can extend on a month to month basis will the VO grant the visa to her? OR will there be any problems in doing so?If so what would be an appropriate answer to that question?

2)Now my mom said that she can take leave for only 3 months(maximum) per year. But I mentioned that she is going to stay here in US for 6 months. Is this going to be a problem?

1. Is it possible for your mother to get in writing that leave is given on a month by month basis? If so, she can show that.

2. Is it a problem in getting visa? No.
Is it a problem in she being able to stay in the US for 6 months? That is something you need to discuss with your mother.

My mom can't stay for more than 3 months. Her bank rules don't agree for this.

If my mom can't get a letter from her bank saying that leave is give on a month to month basis.... then what is the best way to handle this?

Then, it is not a problem. Your mother can mention however long she really wants to stay in the US.
