  • Visitor Visa- Question on Showing US Funds balance

    Hello,

My wife and I have a Visitor Visa interview in Chennai coming up. I was working in USA on H1B and have taken retirement and returned to India recently to settle down here. However we would like to visit USA occassionally (our daughter & family are there) and have applied for a visa. We have some funds in our IRA account (retirement account) still in US banks. Is it advisable to show this fund or is it better to show only funds in Indian banks? We are sponsoring ourselves.

I am hoping someone might know the answer or have a situation like mine and can help.

    Thanks

There is no point in showing the funds in IRA account as you can't really use that funds now. Just show whatever liquid cash you currently have.
