HDFC Receipt Lost. What is the solution?

We dont live in chennai, and had asked one of our friend to help us with the HDFC payment. She told us the receipt number in phone and I took an appt for Dec 15th.

She then couriered us the HDFC receipt. However, we never received it. She didnt save the courier receipt, so we dont have a tracking. The courier company was not able to help us. They say its lost.

Looks like she tried with the bank, and the bank denied to produce duplicates.

Looks like VFS wasnt much helpful either. They just said, you can still attend the interview on the date and your receipt will only be asked at the end.

Any advice on what I should do?? I dont mind spending extra for another HDFC receipt, but I dont want to loose the interview date, as I had to wait for more than a month to book this tamil appt.

You need to get another HDFC receipt and pay for it.

Thanks ! I will get a new HDFC payment done.

Can I still use the appointment with the old receipt number and explain it to them during the interview day and handover the new receipt?? because I dont see any option to change the receipt number online, except to cancel the appt and doing it allover again with the new receipt.
