Worng information entered in DS 156 form

I entered wrong information in online DS 156 form for my parents. The passort issuance date and the passport expirary date was enteren wrong by mistake. Please let me know if this will be a problem for visa approval. should we have to mention it to the Consular during the interview or is there a way to correct it. Please give me a solution.

Get it corrected on interview day @ consulate office.

Take another printout with changes highlighted and let the officer who collects DS156 form reg changes.

I have entered wrong information in online DS 156 form for my parents. The passport issuance state entered wrong by mistake.

I came to know that from this forum ... we can strike off the error and write the correct information on printed DS 156 form. Is it valid solution?( somebody is saying that you should not correct this mistake because the VO officer will object any handwritings on DS 156 form)
Could anybody please share their experience with this sort of situations?

problem with passport issuance date on DS-156

Hi,
It seems strange that all those who created the DS-156 yesterday are having a problem with the passport issuance date field. I too have the same problem. I am wondering if there is some problem with the way the VFS site is automatically calculating the issuance field date based on the passport expiry date.

Can any members who have taken handcorrected form to the consulate please write about their experience?

DS156 and 157 will be collected by the officer (@ first building in Chennai) before going for VO interview (second building). He/she wld correct the information in the system.
