visitor visa renewal

Hi,

My father ( mother dont have the visa) got the USA visitor visa on aug'97 and will expire in aug'2007.
and he never visited USA till now. can my father go for visitor visa with my mother again before it expireing in aug'2007. I want them to be here in june'2007. Can i make a appointment for them in april'2007 ( even though my father has visitor visa)

You should only take an appointment for your mother.
Your father should not reapply before his visa expires. This is because if they deny your mother , they can cancel your father's visa also.

Anyway he can very well travel on his present visa in June because it expires in aug. Once he enters US, he can stay till the date stamped by the entry officer on his I-94 card even if that date is beyond the expiry date on
his visa.

How long one can wait after getting visa?

How long a person can wait to come to USA after getting his visitor visa?
Is there any time limit like you have to go to USA eithin 6 months after getting visa?
Whether you can to US any time after getting visa?
