my 50 yr old and widow mom got visa on first attempt ,

Her interview was today at Chennai consulate...I prepared documents according to immihelp(thanks immihelp)...also learned experience of past visa applicants from this forum....
Her appt was at 9:30 and interview was scheduled in Malayalam.This is what our experience is...she was waiting in line for interview at Malayalam counter.....it seems the Qeue was long for Malayalam IV and the next counter which was for English IV was empty...then VO at english counter called my mom to her counter and the VO went inside to get a lady who can speak malayalam.... and VO asked Qns to my mom ( with that malayalam speaking lady as interpreter)...only 3 Qns
1)purpose of visit
2)whom do you live with
3)what visa is your daughter on

and VO told enjoy your trip,you'll get your passport in a couple of days....it seems my mom didn't have to show any documents at all...
so I think it was pure luck that she got visa....

she took property deeds and chartered accountant estimate for proof of properites....
