My wife got b2 visa on 2nd attempt at Mumbai consulate today. Here is her experience in brief.
She had written N.A. or had left some space blank in the form DS156 and 157, but the same was ignored. But those filling new forms should not write N.A. but write nil or none instead, at the same time those who have already filled the forms that way, should not worry also.
It was like a conversation rather than a formal intervew for abt. 8 to 10 minutes. It is advisable to all middle aged ladies to wear a nice and simple saree, without wearing too many ornamets.
She was mainly asked abt. her profession in detail and few simple questions, like how much do you intend to stay in US,How will you meet the expense of the trip,What and where is your son studying in US, Do you have any other children? There was no mention abt. her previous interview and refusal.
The only document the officer saw was her IT returns.Though she had carried other documents like bank statements and other property and investment related documents.
