  • Extremely Frustrated -In-laws' visa was rejected 3rd time

My parents-in-laws visa got rejected three times at the Mumbai consulate. They got rejected under 214.B all three times. This time we tried our best to prove their economic/social/family ties. We are a green card holder and had all other documents correctly done. However, all the times they got rejected with a reason of potential immigrant.

We are extremely frustrated and disappointed by the whole thing. My father in law is working with one of the national banks and will be retire within a year. My In-Laws almost lost hopes and they do not want to apply for visa again. But we are forcing them to apply 4th time.

So should they take the next available appointment for an interview again or wait for six months. Should we contact a senator?

Please suggest us what more should we do or what we shouldn’t do so that my in-laws chance of getting visa is more.

Will appreciate any piece of advice in this regard.

    Thanks

    Anu

    Help From Lawyers

    Hi

I would advice take help from lawyers. My parents got visa 17 Nov. second time.
I took an appointment with a immigration lawyer, and he provided little tips.

Take big picture of the family photographs.
Pictures of Assets with employees if any works for him. (doing a personal business)
Proof of letterhead that you have for the business.

Lawyers might give exact tips assessing your case.

I would also think Luck should be there with gods mercy.

    Hope this helps.

    thanks
    ckr.

dont get frustrated try again after a few months

I can very well undrestand your state of mind as i have also passed through similar situation. I would advise you not to take any lawyear's help. Rater imphasize on showing their ties like other near relatives, grand children, bank balance, investments and properties. Also mention 4 to 6 weeks stay desired. Tell them not to lose hope and be confident at the time of interview. optionaly they can also appear for the interview seperately saying that he/she would be travelling alone and the other one will be staying here only. That will establish a strong tie in india for the applicant.

          4th Attempt

I can totally understand your situation. We had similar situation for my parents. after 3 rejections together, we sent them separately for 4th. That itself shows a strong ties back to India because your spouse is in India.. Anyways, we got lucky for my mother and now trying for my father.

No lawyer, senator or anyone can help.. I have heard cases where these people helped but not in mine..

Anyways, good luck and don't lose hopes..
