Visitor visa to attend USMLE Exam

I am a doctor .i wish to apply for USA VISA.......

I HAVE AN EXAM --USMLE at Texas centre in the month of june-07....the exam is only one day.....

which visa do i apply for.....how many days prior do i apply.....

my husband is on student visa in UK........I am currently in India preparing for the EXAMS.....

So what documents do i need to produce........do i need to produce financial documents of india or UK
after the exam i wish to go UK...To join my husband .........
what Qs can i expect .....how well could i answer them.......
