  • Reentering US with !0 year multipel vistors visa

    We are pregnant now and my expected date of delivery is June last week. I want my parents to come and stay with us for the delivery. They have 10 years multiple entry visitors visa. and they got the visa in 2002. So they have multiple entry visa for 10 years. My problem is my sister is also pregnant and they are coming for her delivery in Dec 25 2006 and my delivery would be around jul 2007. So for them to stay for my delivery we have two options., to either extend their visa or they should go back to india and then come back again. We are thinking of sending them back to India may be in may and then come back in june. Is this possible for them to come back to US in one moth with their visa? Had anyone done that before. I mean like once they go from US after how many days they can come back to US again(reenter). Is there any minimum number days they need to stay in India before coming to US again?
    Or if we want to extend their visa for 4-6 months, is it possible ? if so, what should we do and how should we do that. We heard that the extension is not alwasy guranteed sometimes they reject too. If they reject you think when they come in June again will they object my parents because of being rejected for extended stay.. And if we have to apply for the same do they need to bring any documents from India? We are all confused.
    Though i am pregnant i keep thinking if my parents would be with me or not for the delivery. We are getting so much worried about this.This is making us so worried.. Please anyone help us..

    Thanks in advance..

    For parents staying 5-6 months in US, spending 5-6 months in India between two visits is advisable. REturning after a month's gap is not advised at all.

    About extensions; you are right they can be denied and then there will be problems if denial comes after the expiry of their stay, as it usually does; they will have to leave fast and they run the risk of voiding their visa and problems at future entries.

    The solution to your problem is;
    They should leave early after your sister's delivery say in JAN and then
    return in early July.
