need help with bank verification letter

my husband is sponsoring my parents for visitir visa... they have appointment on dec 14th. on 14th nov i have placed an order for verification letter and statement for 3 months and bank of america told it will take 10 days.... we waited for 15 days and have been ringing them continuously ..... but on nov 30th we received a letter which just specifies the current balance and its a xerox copy not on the original letterhead... it doesn't specify anything abt date act was opened or avg balanace.... we rang them up agn and they said some mistake wud have happnd.... place order agn and we will send it in next 10 days..... but its already too late and i really donno what to do now.....i placed order agn,once i get it,,, can i just fax it to india??? will it work??? i can't send original in this short period of time....even by fedex... or shall i postpone the appointment... ur help is appreciated

You should call the 1-800#, & ask them to send it to your home address, which will take 3days(shortest) which will be in original papers (or) ask them to fax it to your local bank to pick up. I picked up at the local branch the same day (though 10days is what they say), and I am using them for an appt on Dec 15th. I know it will look better to see the original, but I had no time to wait, and decided to use this one, which looks like a copy, obviously becaused it is faxed. Hope thats no trouble.

My $0.2 - Don't lose sleep over the Bank letter. Bank of America sucks - and there is nothing you can do about it. Send about 6 months bank statements and you also can print the deposits over past 6 months. All the VO needs is evidence, and these are pretty valid (IMHO) - other posters have had success without the "Bank letter" . If you want to worry - try worrying over interview
