Urgent - Father's name misspelled in mother's passport

Hello,

My mother is applying for visitor visa. I (daughter) am sponsoring her visa. We just noticed that my father's name is misspelled in her passport. She is a widow. However, my father's name is correct in my passport and in my high school certificate (birth certificate). What do we do? Will this create a problem? How do enter my father's name in DS156 form, as in her passport or the correct name?

Is there any way we can explain VO? Her visa interview is on Dec 28th. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated..

That's not a problem.

In the form, just enter whatever the actual name of your father is.
