  • From B1/B2 to I130 Status Change

Hi, I have recently arrived in USA alongwith my Husband and kids on B1/B2 Visa. My parents are US Citizens who filed my I130 in 2000 which was approved but due to visa numbers non-availability, I am still awaiting my turn. My question is, is there any such provision that I apply to stay in U.S.A permanently and apply for status change or so. Awaits your response.

No, not until your I-130 is approved and you file I-485.

Thanks for your response. My I-130 was approved back in 2001 (received "Approval Notice"), do you mean something else by "Approval" and what is I-485. Please explain. Thank you.
