I came to the states as a tourist 6 years ago and I change my visa to Student Visa (F-1). After my graduate program I got One year visa permit and during that year I met my husband. Now I've been married for almost 1 and a half years. I already got my Temporary Green Card last January. I have been legal ALWAYS for the past 6 years.
My mom have tried twice to get the visa in 2002 and 2003. The 1st time they denied because "she didn't have enough money to travel". The second time they denied because "she wants to stay as your daughter". It seems like they are punishing her because my particular situation.
We want her to try again and my husband is preparing all the documents like affidavit, letter of invitation, cover letter, employment letter, copy of bank statements and payment stubs, etc. We want to know if she has high probability to get the visa this time?, what else do we need to send?, do we need to send a copy of the documents to the consulate prior to the interview?
Thanks,
