  • Birth Cerficiate

    Hi,

I would like to invite my mother to visit usa. While looking for the required documents, I found that Birth Certificate is required which I dont have. So, I was looking for the alternate document and I found the below link from Embassy of India.

It’s 2021, and it’s time to make some changes. From now on, Indianembassy.org will run under a new name: UKMoney.net. You will find the latest news and honest online broker reviews. Go to the UKMoney.net homepage.

It seems, I could able to get the birth certificate from India embassy. I would like to know, whether the birth certificate from India embassy would be sufficient or still shall I need to unobtainable birth certificates from the below link.

    Thanks in advance,

    Prashanthan K

BC is not an absolute requirement for a visitor visa.(It is not listed as one of the documents required for a visitor visa by the US embassy website). In countries with high fraud rates like Inida, some officers ask for it to make sure the visa applicants are actually your parents.(birth certificate must have both your parents' name on it).

Try to get a copy from the municipal office in India where you were born.
If they have record of your birth, they will give you a copy. If they do not,
get a certificate of non-availability. You may not need it for the visitor visa
but you will surely need it if you ever have to sponsor your mother
for an immigrant visa after becoming a US citizen.

If that is not possible at present, try the embassy route.

B2 visitor visa Birth certificate for applicants?

      case:
      Applicants:Parents and Grandparents
Sponsorer::H1 visa holder(currently staying in US for 1.5 yrs)
      Questions:

Do we need to carry Birth certificate and Marriage certificate of the applicants?

What amount should be enough to sponsor 4 people.I have insisted my family to carry their property, bank statements and tax forms?

      Quick response is appreciated.
