VFS Website not showing appt date

Hello All,
I'm trying to book appointment at chennai Consulate for my parents. While I try to check for appointment dates, I always end up seeing nothing on the screen (no calendar comes up). Also, I just see some information such as one has to appear for interview within 1 year of obtaining the HDFC Visa Receipt,etc. I always get a dialogue box saying 'Interview dates are not available'

Fyi, I have the HDFC Visa Receipt ready with me. How do I book appointment in the VFS website? Also, I'm looking to book for some dates in Feb 07. Is it hard to get dates for Feb in Chennai Consulate.


Any insight is appreciated.

It is common that appointments are not available on the dates you want. Look for alternative dates or timing. And keep checking.

I am also getting the same problem while trying to book at Delhi Counsulate.
Don't know what's going on.

Deva - Was it for Chennai Consulate? Also, which month is current? I'm looking to book an appointment for someday in Feb 07.

Just a quick note, any time I try the website it always gives me with 'Interview dates not Available'. Previously, I was under the impression that the consulate had not opened the next year slots for appointment. Leave alone the filled days' slots, the VFS website does not even show me the calendar to atleast learn which month is available.

Are you able to see the calendar?

This is what I'm doing in the website.
a) Click on Apply for non-immigrant visa link.
b) It asks do you have ' BEP id'. I click on 'No'
c) It takes me to a page where I 'agree' to their consent
d) Then it takes me to the appointment page (where I choose type of visa, state, language of interview,etc)
e) After this I get a dialogue box that says 'Interview dates are not available'. And also, I don't see the calendar.

I'm very curious if I'm doing anything wrong as I don't even see the calendar in the website. Or is it the case that this website very often comes up like this such as no dates available and once in a blue moon one would see any dates if available.

Your insight is greatly appreciated.

may be they put dates at this month end.
to check available dates..the link is there at the bottom of home page of vfs.

Yes, exactly samething happening to me. I guess that's a problem with VFS website. Gotta call them in the evening and let them know the problem

I agree with Deva. I was able to see open slots in the website when I checked at about 11am to 2:30pm IST. I was able to see a slot for Jan.
