  • VisitorVisa Rejected.Previously Extended stay in US!

My mother got Visitor Visa for 1 year in 2003. We extended her Visa from 6 months to 11 months (The extension was approved)

We had an appointment on Dec11th(Telugu) and Visitor Visa got rejected.

    These were the questions asked.
    1. Did you visit USA before.
    Yes.

    2. How long was your stay in US?
    11 months.

    3. Where in the application did you mention this?
Apparently ther person who filled the application on my mother's behalf, did not mention it in the application about visa extension last time and her extended stay in US for 11 months

When can we try for Visa again? There was no 214(b) or any other visa rejected status in her passposrt.Just had "application received".

    Please help!

that was under 214b....apparently somebody did not tell the truth the last time she applied....she likely told the embassy she was going to stay 2-4 months, not 11. When people don't do what they say, there is no reason they should be trusted again. A question to ask yourself: if she said (for example) she was going to stay 3 months, why would anyone believe her? That is why it is important to do what you say, in the time frame you stated.
And please...no stories about how she got sick.....that one has been used too much.

      kurees..nonsense

Kurees, if you can't answer, just shut up and dont answer. My mother stayed after she has applied for extension and she didnot stay here illegally. why would anyone not believe her,she does not want to stay here even if she were to get 1 year. Again, what you said is nonsense and if you cant give a constructive answer stay off from this post.

another person who cannot face the truth....I pointed out that someone LIED to our embassy when they asked for the tourist visa....one cannot *****ally change plans from a 3 month visit to a year 'suddenly'....and if you do not like my advice or thoughts, well, please explain why you think it is OK to lie to our government????
Your mother ruined her credibility (a fact many people seem to forget)...and no matter how many notarized documents, bank accounts, affidavits from neighbors nor letters from senators will change that fact....
bottom line: tell the truth and do what you say...if you are unwilling to do this, don't be surprised when the consuls figure it out.

get some help, its not late

what do you mean your government, I am a citizen of this country and what credentials do you have to judge the chances of my mother getting visa. Who the hell lied to the government.

I have seen people suffering with the symptoms you are showing. There is medicine for this..just ask the right doctor :-)

quite simple...when she applied for her visa in 2003, how long did she tell the embassy (our government) that she was going to stay? (hint: it was not, repeat, not 11 months), ergo, somebody lied.

and blaming others for her most recent refusal won't change the decision...no matter who fills out the application, the applicant must sign it, attesting to its accuracy......
