Hey Guys,
THis forum has helped in all matters and thats the reason i am posting this scenario out here. I'll explain the situation in brief. I am on H1 visa and currently in US, working at a nice salary. My parents had applied for a visitor visa in June '05 and were rejected without any proper reason at Mumbai consulate. At that time, some weird guys advised them not to write of my being present in USA while filling the DS-156 visa forms...or else their visa will be rejected (Weird huh...). When i came to know about this i was very upset but couldn't change this. Anywayz, i want to call them again and this time i want to send the sponsor papers and everything what is needed from my side.
My question is, if this time, i write in DS-156 son working in USA...and sponsoring them...will the past of not mentioning my presence will have an adverse effect....if asked what should they tell the VO..i am planning to take an appointment for them in March '07 so that will be approx 18 mos...from their initial visit to the consulate.
Anybody who has gone through this or simillar situation or have an idea how to tackle this can please reply. your help and time will be appreciated.
thanks
