  • Pregnant indian tourist in USA

Me and my wife are on a holiday in USA , holding a visitor VISA , and while being here in USA we came to know that my wife is pregnant . And the Doctor there advised 3 months of complete rest .

I want to send my mother so she can take care of my wife , and i can leave from USA now, and my wife can fly back to india as and when doctor will advise after 3 months/

We are currently staying at a relatives house in Florida.

There is no body to sponsor or invite my Mother.

I wish to apply USA Visa for my mother,

So please suggest , do we have to tell the Interviewer about my Wife's pregnancy or we should just apply as a visitor ...she will be travelling alone.

Don't tell about pregnancy. And she can self-sponsor.

it is pretty obvious that your intent is to have the child in the US, costing the US taxpayers $10,000 and you hoping to gain some benefit by this event. However, there will be NO benefits until this child is 21.
As for your mother, well, the VOs will ask..."who and WHY are you wishing to visit?" -- when they discover this unusual 'vacation', etc, well, one does not need a Ouija board to figure out the results....

Unfortunately, these days even if you are on H-1, your child is not a citizen, if born here. So, if that was your intention, it may not be worth all this risk to go thru.

If your post is legit and you only know her pregnancy after coming here, you might be able to use your relatives (whomever you are staying with) to send an invitation and your mom can self-sponsor.

Instead, you can stay with your wife to help her if that is a option.

You certainly cannot mention this in visa interview, as the officers say that US has all facilities for child birth and in your case, it is just bedrest. helping someone in Bedrest means nothing to them, I would say.

sorry, not true....a child born in the US (or in US airspace) is a citizen, no matter status the mother/parents have (except certain diplomats)...
