  • in-laws in business and no assets on their name

    hi,

I have one question regarding visitor visa for my in-laws.

They belong to joint-family and they are in business. They don't have any fixed assets like land, house etc on their name. Is it enough just to show some amount like 6 lakhs in their bank account ?

not having any fixed assets is going to be a problem?

ok, another "blunt" answer -- money in a bank account does not, repeat, does not prove intent nor is the money any sort of tie to one's country...why? Because the account can be emptied moments after getting a visa. It is not so much the raw ownership of property; it is the perceived intent of the applicant that matters....remember, every tourist visa applicant is already presumed by our laws to go to the US to stay permanently.
