Visitor Visa At Mumbai Consulate ??

I am trying to appy for visitor visa at mumbai consultate. I went to the VFS (tirupati towers) , and I was told that Now things have changed (since when ??) and there is absolutely nothing at VFS, you should download the form online and Get an appointment online. I asked which web site and I was told , its the VFS web site, the one printed on the HDFC receipt - which is

Sure enough, the VFS site does not show any dates for visitor visa at mumbai consulate .... where do I go from here any body in the same boat ? Please share the experience...Its kind of leading to a dead end , SOS.....

Keep trying everyday. There are lot of people waiting for the appts to open up.
