Interview dates in US Consulate - Mumbai

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know of earliest appointment available for visitor's visa in Mumbai? I contacted the consulate and I was told that there are no dates available and will be updated later?

Please advise if anyone has more information on this. I want to make sure my parents apply in time to come here this summer.

You need to keep on checking VFS web site for availability of interview dates.

One more question...

Would it be a good idea to pay the fees and then take the dates as they become available or vice versa?

Please advise. I want my parents to come here sometime in June. When I checked the VFS website I saw 23rd January as the most current date available, a few hours back it showed nothing. Do they put it month wise? I mean does that mean there is a possibility of dates in february and so on and so forth?

Just want to get an idea of what has been the trend based on people's experience with Mumbai Consulate.

You should first take the fee receipt. It is valid for 1 year.

There is no pattern regarding the availability of the interview appointment dates. If you see some date that you like it, take it.
