Please help - Visitor's visa rejected long time back in Dubai

Hello Everyone,

Do we have to still mention in DS-156 if visitor's visa was rejected outside India in the past? Could it raise the question, why the visitor's visa is applied in India this time? My parents have moved out of Dubai last year and they cannot go back to Dubai to apply as they are not residents there anymore. Their visa was rejected almost about 1 1/2 yrs back. Do we need to put exact date in the form or an approx is fine?

Any suggestion will help.

You apply in the country of Residence. So that will be the explanation for the change.

How do we need to prove State of Residence? On the website they've asked that it should be the place where they have resided for atleast 6 months. My parents have moved end of October 2006. But my parents have been in and out of India prior to that. They have cancelled their visa before they left Dubai.

Some bill for electricity/phone etc could act as proof of residence

Is it ok if it is their Bombay property? In pune they are staying in their rental house. They will move to their new own house in Feb. I am assuming I will not get an appointment before March or April. Would they need one month of bill or more months? I am sure for Bombay house they have all the bills.
