Hi,
I have booked appointment for my mom for Jan 24th.She had only one page left in her passport,so she had send her passport with related documents through a travel agency for additional booklet int he first week of December itself. The travel agent told that it will take one month,that is the reason I made an appointment for Jan 24th. We never got the additional booklet and then came to know 2 days back that when she received her passport the first time she didn't go to the police station to sign since she had met with an accident then,so the Poilce Clearance Letter states that she has not come to sign, so her case is pending still.So the travel agent is saying that to get all this cleared up it will take 2 to 3 months and also the passport that she is holding now has the cancelled seal in the first page,as that is the procedure thay follow when an additional booklet is provided. So I am confused if she can go for the appointment with the cancelled passport and explain the situation or just cancel the appointment and clear things out.
Has anybody gone thorugh a similar situation, if so can you please guide me.
