bank statements and bank letter

Hello ALl
For sponsoring visitor visa for mother, do i need statements original(sent by postal) or copies would do????

bank letter(like openning date, account information), i received by fax but the original is not yet received.. this fax copy would do or should i get the original....

I think its always safe to send the original on the bank letter and employment verification

The employment letter is original and only bank letter only having fax copy of the bank verification
the original has not yet come
the statements i have is consolidated original summary for each month.
only the bank verifcation letter is fax copy.
please advise
