Children under 5 years

Do children under 5 years need to appear for the visa interview when their parents are appearing ? Or is it okay if the parents carry the application on behalf of the kid?

Interview not required for children below 14 years of age.

I think you definitely need to carry the kid also, the reason is they will scan the finger prints at the time of interview. I attended the interview at Chennai last year August and I did that ...
