Visitors Visa - Travel within 6 months

Hi,

My parents have got a 10-yr Visa for entering the US. Due to certain personal reasons, they will not be able to travel to the US immediately.

Is there any rule that specifies that they need to make their first travel to US within the first 6 months? Or can they travel anytime they please?

There is no such rule. They can travel any time within 10 years.

Lot of people have this misunderstanding about travel within 6 months. I am not sure who originally spread that rumor.

Looks like the requirement associated with H1 and L1 has been transferred to B1 as well. THERE IS NO SUCH TIME LIMIT ASSOCIATED WITH B1
