  • Visa denied for parents-- help

    Hi,

My parents application for a visitor visa is denied. The VO just asked 5 questions without looking at any other documents.

VO: who is in the US? son/daughter
    Father: Son

    VO: Where is he working?
    Father: xxx company

    VO: Are you employed?
Father: No. I took VRS (Voluntary Retirement)

VO:How do you pay for your monthly expenses?
Father: I have a savings of xxx rs and fixed deposits. We have a CA certificate
    VO: Not required

Actually, i send xxx amount each month to india and also have a property so that i can go back and settle. My father forgot to mention it. Would it have helped if he mentioned it? I think it would have helped if the VO looked at the CA certificate coz the property i bought would have been listed on it.

    VO: Is your daughter married?
    Father: Yes

VO: Sorry sir, your visa is denied.

Is there anything that could have been done better. Any suggestions are helpful and what is a good interval to reapply for the visa?

    Thanks for the help

Visa was denied because your dad could not prove
*occupational/secure income ties to India.(deposits are not secure income
    but pension and salary are)
*Family ties to India. Your sis is married and settled . If she was single ,
they would have a reason to return to.

    Try this;
Your mom should apply alone after a couple of months.
She should ask for a short stay.If asked about dad, she should say he is not
    willing to go now.
Your mom should show that your dad is inolved in some income earning activity. (small job, small business)
