      Hi all.

I read all the above comments and i know what u guys are going though with this whole situation. Let me shoot my case, I'm also an "only child" for my parents. My father is a doctor and and my mother is a house wife. I'm married and working here(we both have green card). I'm pregnant and due in April. My parents went for an interview on Jan 05, 07. Unfortunately their visa got rejected. My parents were okay with the interviewer, who was a lady. The reason she told to my parents was they dont have strong ties back in india. But my father showed all his employment leave letter and property docs. But no use... She asked 2 time whether i'm the only child.. and their visa got rejected. But we are not going to give up. We took another one in Feb 27 with more supproting documents like my fathers mothers letter, medical certificate(She is not well and staying with my parents), some pics with her. so lets see what happens this time... I need my parents here during my delivery.. but what to do... we cannot say anything now... Lets hope good luck this time.....
I think u guys should try till they give visa with more supporting docs... I know we are loosing money for every interview.. sometimes to get something we need to sacrifice.......
      All the best for all....

        Hello

Yes, we shouldnot give up. I thought the same way. But got surprised that you took one more appointment with in two months. Thats intersting and let us know how it goes. If we are allowed to take appointment regardless of time gap, i will try for every two months until my Mother gets her visa.

Good Luck to you and take care of your health

Thanks for all the responses. Yes, you can apply as many times u want with a 3 days of gap. (earlier it was 6 months). I got appoinment dates even in Jan, but i wanted atleast 2 months gap. And if you are applying after a rejection you should be very careful in presenting your case. We cannot lie anything, only way is to show more supporting docs. But its all luck..... But b positive.....

                  visa for parents

                  i think in babus case
his visa status might have helped some how
                  others had green card
                  so they may be suspicious
me in same boat for my wife dono what will happen

                    Visitor Visa rejected

My parents had an interview at the chennai consulate in English. I am the second daughter to my parents. I have a sister who is married and settled in India.

                    These were the questions asked:

VO to Dad: Where are you working
                    Dad: In N.M.D.C

VO to Dad: What is your salary?
                    Dad: 55k per month

VO to Dad: Asked for the NOC ( No objection certificate) from Work and asked When are you retiring?
                    Dad: Oct, 2007

VO to Dad: How long are you planning to Stay in US?
                    Dad: 1 and 1/2 month

VO to Dad: why only one and half month?
Dad: since my leave is only for one and half month.

VO to MOM: How long are you planning to stay?
                    Mom: for 5 months.

VO to Mom: Why 5 months?
Mom: Since my husband doesnt have leave he will go back after one and half month. Where as i want to spend more time with my daughter , visit places in US and then come back.

VO to Mom: How many children to you have:
Mom: One daughter in US and the other Daughter here in India.

Thats it. The VO rejected the visa due to lack of ties in india.

The only certificate asked to show was the NOC and not even the affidavit.

The only reason i can guess is Dad's retirement. I am planning to take another visa interview for my Mom first, separately in March. I need her here latest by May as i am pregnant and due in June.

What further documents can help her get the visa? Is it ok for her to go alone? or should i book for both to gether?

question 1) what will your son do?

question 2) what your husband doing?
                      ans: my mom said retired.

question 3) how much pension he gets?
                      ans: my mom said 1000rs.

the interviewer said something like not enough property(we showed around 30 lakhs) and "no anubandhalu for your family"...like a telugu movie...

they didn't give the visa... iam not sure exactly what section they mentioned?
