Mothers Visa denied, Advice needed.

hi,

My mom took the interview at chennai..telugu speaking ammu lady took her interview. similar case here.

mom & dad went to chennai in FEB 06, denied
dad passed away in Nov 06,
Mom went for interview in Feb 07..denied second time..

The officer did not even bother to check if the case status has changed since last rejection. She did not ask for docs. She compared the case with the 1 st rejection and bluntly refused to give.

Mom and I are furious..We are going to re-apply as soon as we can. This time she will pro-actively present her case. The main point in my case is, even if I wait for 6 months or so to re-apply, there will not be any chanage as far as the ties to India are concerned. Now, atleast SYMPATHY could work out..thats the only hope.

To what I learnt from Mom, There is a telugu speaking male as well..She will try her luck at that counter this time.

Can some one advice on my case. Mom needs change of environment. I am the only son. The lonliness thats new, is haunting her.

I do not mean to dishearten you but sympathy does not work with US visa process. Widows with only child in US ---visitor visa is just very hard to get.
It is a combination that indicates a great likelihood that mom will
not return to India.

If you still want to go ahead with it, she must focus on showing some strong occupational ties to India( like a small business or a strong position with a community organization) over some months. Even then it will be a fight
and without it it will be a waste of time and money.

I also advise you to explore other visa possibilities, like an H-1, if your mom
is educated and working age group.
