No Stamp Of Refusal In Our Passport

Hi! I am Ajay from india. I had applied for USA tourist visa on 2005 to meet my brother in seattle who is now US citizen with my wife and daughter. When one of my cousin Brother came to know this, he also insisted to apply for the USA visa with us. We couldn't refuse him. But when we were interviewed in US consulate, it was found that my cousin brother had been already applied before one year with different passport but in this application he had not mentioned about it. Our passport were returned back to us with out any stamp of refusal.

Pls help me to find out that can me and my wife apply again for US visa? Why the consulate had not made any stamp on our passport?

Did you not get any stamp on your passports? Look at the bottom on
the last few pages of your passport.

Did they give you any printed piece of paper showing reason for denial?

The officer must have told you something verbally; what was it?
