B2 to H1b

Hi,If i get a residency in US can i get my visitor visa converted to H1b?do i need to come back to India to get H1b stamped or it can be done in Us only??

What do you mean getting residency in the U.S? The B-2 visitor visa is for visiting U.S and you need to return to your home country as promised. Please DO NOT violate the intent of your visa, it just makes harder for bonafide visitors to get visas because of people like you. Most attorneys advice to not do a COS from B-2, as most likely the COS will be denied by USCIS. Even if this was granted by USCIS and you have to go back to your home country to get the visa stamped, you will be grilled and your chances of getting a H1B stamp on your passport are mute...
