  • DS-156 Modification (After Appointment Chosen) - Urgent

    Hello,
My parents have appointment at Chennai Consulate On Feb 21 for visitor visa. There were couple of issues on their DS-156 Application.
    a) My Mother's DS-156 application has her name bit mis-spelled. (Her name is missing a 'E').
    b) My father's application has incorrect passport issuance date. (Instead of June 19, 2003, it is currently recorded as June 18,2003).

The problem I have is..both of these fields are not Modifiable in the VFS website. What should I do now? They have only couple of business days before the appointment.(really, there are 3 business days left before the appointment).

Please advise as soon as possible.

I'm thinking of calling VFS Friday Morning (Feb 16).

Thanks for the guidance. I was under the assumption that VFS would send the actually filled DS-156 application to the Consulate before the interview. I was worried what if the details of their print out mismatches(with manual modifications via pen) against what was available in VFS website.

      Please advise.

That's not a problem as that is the official guidance from VFS/Consulate.
